Leaving corporate America to pursue a dream… 

I’ve refocused my entire life to helping others reach their fitness and nutrition goals and it’s the best decision I ever made. 

Two years ago, I underwent multiple surgeries on both my feet and orthoscopic knee surgery. The recoveries were slow and extremely painful and resulted in being inactive for over a year. This hiatus from the stresses of corporate America gave me the perspective I needed to find joy again in something that has always made me happy; being strong and fit! I’ve worked out my entire life and I sought out exercise methods that would allow me to safely rehab my body; regaining strength, flexibility and cardio endurance. I rediscovered my love for dance inspired fitness and fell in love with a Barre method fitness program. It changed my life and my entire body and it can do the same for you!

Who am I… 

I’m just like any other women who understands all too well the trappings of trying to have the “perfect” body. I’ve been athletic and worked out my entire life but when I found myself 40 lbs. over weight and miserable, I was willing to try anything to get back into shape. The catch was, I’m no long 20 something and now have four kids, two dogs, a business, a home, etc. If this sounds familiar it’s because I’m no different than most women who find themselves in this position. I was fortunate enough to have the unconditional love and support of my family to change my life’s path and I’m hoping that women just like me will want to come along for the ride. I was tired of all the crazy fads filled with 20 somethings that didn’t consider that I just wanted to feel beautiful in my own skin and not throw my back out when picking something up off the floor or reaching into to back seat of my car. I don’t want to flip tires or throw weights and climb rope ladders; not that there’s not a place for that in the world, because there is…. just not my world!

 
 
 

My mission… 

My mission is to help women of all ages, shapes and size to find their beauty through the strength, grace and flexibility that this ballet inspired fitness program can deliver like no other. I’m certified in the Barre Above method, which focuses on lengthening and strengthening the body through functional movement that we encounter daily. (I also hold certifications in SCW Aqua Exercise, Tabata Bootcamp and A.C.E. Personal Training) The Barre Above method encourages and supports exercises that are natural to the body and not counter intuitive or harmful to your back and hips like so many current fitness fads. This method builds long lean muscles and focuses on strengthening the hips and glutes, which supports good posture and strengthens the back.
